Megan has been telling herself stories from the moment she knew how, and liked to pretend to read books before someone finally taught her how to read for real :3 These days, she writes the stories down in the hopes of amusing others as much as she amuses herself.
And now, Megan tells us a little about how she celebrates the holidays. =)
Me: What, if any, winter holiday day do you celebrate?
Megan: Christmas ^__^ My family has been big on Christmas for as long as I can remember. We're more casual now than we used to be, but it still means a lot to us.
Me: What is your favorite family holiday story/tradition/recipe/etc?
Megan: My favorite tradition is one we don't actually do any more. Growing up it was a tradition amongst my three siblings and I to wake our parents up Christmas morning—as creatively (and horrifically) as possible. We were horrible children, thinking about some of those mornings. One of the last years we followed the tradition, we put radios everywhere and set them to play at the same time—in the doorway to their bathroom, in the main doorway, we even went outside and put one in the window. Then the music came on at full volume and two unamused parents were suddenly awake. The one in the window took them a few minutes to find :3
Me: What is your favorite holiday story and why? You can choose one m/m and one not if necessary. =)
Megan: M/M, The Spirit of Giving by Cat Kane. I reread it all the time, the cute and the angst and the cheesy, I love it. Everyone deserves a happy Christmas, whatever their faults and mistakes.
Non-m/m, the Gift of the Magi. However silly and impractical that couple might have been, each gave up the proudest thing they possessed to make the other happy.
Me: What is your favorite thing you have ever written and why?
Megan: As anyone who has put up with me long enough knows, Prisoner is my baby. I will forever love Dieter, Beraht, and all the others. I love my Krians, and all the trouble they get into because it's just not in them to behave for very long. There are books that are technically better, and of which I am just as proud, but Prisoner means the most to me.
Well, having read almost everything Megan has written, I can definitely say I heartily approve of Prisoner. You all should go and read everything from that universe. It is great fun. Although, I must say, my favorite universe is the Dance with the Devil universe. Go read that too. =)
And now for the giveaway!!! Megan has given me two copies of The Christmas Package to giveaway. If you have not read Delivery with a Smile go check it out first. It is a free read that Megan wrote as a part of the Hot Summer Days event over at goodreads! The Christmas Package is a sequel to that story.
The Christmas Package
Blurb
Allen has had enough. His latest job went south, his favorite car has been totaled, people keep wanting his lover dead, and on top of all that he still has not a single damn clue what to get Jack for Christmas—a gift he desperately wants to get right, because otherwise he fears he’ll be spending New Year’s alone.
Then he finds himself forced to take an unusual job on Christmas Eve, and Allen wonders if they’ll even live long enough to exchange gifts…

Also, as for the Missing Butterfly question, I think I read that she's working on some stores in that 'verse with characters in another band? Or maybe that's just wishful thinking.
@eeper - You can find the answer on her website. ;) If you figure it out, email me the answer to get counted.
ReplyDeletePlease count me in for this as well! The cover is absolutely adorable!
